Winter is in full swing, and there’s finally fresh snow in the mountains again. Make the most of it and ski, snowboard and snowshoe to your heart’s content! After you get back from hitting the slopes, check out the latest issue of Outdoor Sports Guide for some great stories on riding in the park (here and here), essential gear for winter camping (here), outdoor adventures for couples (here) and more.
If that’s not enough for you, we now have more content than ever on our new website at sportsguidemag.com. There you’ll find an e-version of the magazine, our blog, expanded versions of this issue’s stories, extra gear reviews, more articles and giveaways.
Also be on the lookout for our annual Keeper issue, coming out in March. It’s THE guide to this year’s local and national races, events, gear swaps and more. Keep it on hand to plan your active year ahead. If you’re an event planner you can still add an event to the calendar for free. Just visit our website, create an account and input all the details.
Enjoy!

Check out snowkiting at the 3rd Annual SuperFly Open, sponsored by Best Kiteboarding, on March 11–14 at Powder Mountain Resort in Eden, Utah. Three years ago, Powder Mountain was the first mountain resort in the U.S. to offer an exclusive snowkiting area and a snowkite only pass. Today, it is a favorite destination for snowkiters to improve their skills. During the SuperFly Open you can watch snowkite races, see big air and freestyle competitions, demo the latest snowkiting gear and take part in free introductory clinics to see if snowkiting is for you.
